IF my closet was a scale and you had to put all my staples on, the side carrying my coat, bag and shoe collection whould be totally overbalanced. What can I say? I'm highly addicted to stuff with a function. Coats to keep me warm, bags to carry my stuff and shoes to lighten up my outfit. It doesn't have to be that complicated. Today we're talking coats. I instantly fell in love with this beauty from one of my personal favorites: UK label Joseph. Celebrating their 40th anniversary this year the brand is famous for their sophisticated and well-fitted collection, made out of fabrics that seriously last a life time. Being almost 1.80M tall it always is a challenge to find clothing without looking like Olive from Popeye. Unlike many other UK brands, Joseph has the perfect fit for my long brooms (read: arms) and pins. I'm in love with the neckline, color blocking and the way it fits my body. Perfect for my business meetings in London town. Although the sleeves might end up dirty in the undergroud. Little side step but my messy hair is a result of three combless days, I like it like this. The third day is always the best. Girls with curls you should try it. So today I thought i'd brag a little about a couple of features i've had in the last week. Firstly, I was featured on Who What Wear which is pretty damn awesome and I was amongst some pretty stylish ladies including one of my favourite bloggers Sara Strand. And secondly a photo popped up of me on the Urban Spotter. A super inspiring street style blog, which is personally becoming one of my faves and I promise i'm not being bias. :D I actually had the pleasure of meeting Daniel (the photographer) when I was in Paris and he is such a cool guy to chat to. Thanks again Who What Wear & The Urban Spotter! Well, that's all lovelies. Take care, Daniella xx Facebook Twitter Bloglovin Tumblr Pinterest Lookbook Fashiolista

photo credit | jake armstrong NOW THAT I've finally gotten over my hangover (read: I'm a terrible drunk/dancer), I can finally muster up the energy to talk about my little night out with Steve Madden and Trace Publicity. The night started with a charming, wine-filled evening at Trullo in Islington with the likes of Charlie, Lela and Serah. After freaking out over their range of desserts we all found ourselves in a cab and on the way to teh Charli XCX show (who's currently the cover girl on the Steve Madden magazine). Needless to say, tequila happened, rum happened...and then a huge headache happened. And - despite the fact that I spent two hours jumping up and down in strappy heels - my feet actually came out alive (and with a few compliments from strangers at the show). All in all, not your average Saturday night. But definitely a good one. wearing BLAZER | H&M SHIRT | Uniqlo TROUSERS | Blk Dnm BAG | 3.1 Phillip Lim SHOES | Steve Madden (here) shop the look Follow me on: Bloglovin | Facebook | Tumblr | Twitter | Instagram | Pinterest | Lookbook | Stylight | Shop
COUNTLESS hours of begging, hundreds of back massages, thousands of semi seductive eye blinking later.. Santa - a.k.a. - the sweetest hubby in the world (saying it exactly like this on my blog was one of the many terms & conditions) - eventually did came around and gave me a Boy (gosh this must sounds strange) We're talking Chanel baby (or 'boybe' to stick to the subject). When the woman in the shop asked me if I would like a box around it I yelled: "Hell yeah, the biggest one available and some fireworks on top please." As from Sunday I'm not a Chanel virgin anymore. And accoring to a few friends in my inner circle this first purchase is only the top if the iceberg. Once a Chanel homie, always a Chanel homie. They say... Yeah boy! So this past weekend felt like it lasted a week with all the things that have happened. Firstly there was the tragic helicopter accident that happened in Glasgow, where to many people lost there lives, which was truly heartbreaking. Then there was a young man in the town that I live that lost his life, though i'm not sure on the details yet but the town is small and things don't happen like this very often, so its always very hard hitting when it does. And to conclude, the world lost actor Paul Walker along with driver Roger Rodas. It's always hard when young lives are taken and so unexpectedly because it's not just one or two lives that are effected, it's everyone else that is left behind, the family and friends that are faced with the grieving, that I can only imagine to be heart wrenching and it's with them I send my prayers. For me blogging is usually place where I escape real life problems but today I felt I needed to at least give it a mention. I love my family, they are my world and every day i'm grateful for being blessed with such a caring mother, a supportive sister, a beautiful nephew and my loving boyfriend. And it's at times like this that we should maybe show a little extra gratitude to who we have in our lives. Thank you if you have taken the time to read this and I hope you enjoy my outfit photos, Daniella xox MSGM Sweater - Here & something similar Here (old) Marks & Spencers Skirt - Similar Here Bruuns Bazaar Scarf - Here (old) Topshop Backpack - Love these Here & Here Stella McCartney Shoes - Here Cooee Ring - Shop Here Facebook Bloglovin Twitter Pinterest Tumblr Lookbook Fashiolista

Tonight I'm heading out with a few internet friends (it's kinda brilliant when they become real friends) for dinner at Trullo in London, then it's off to the Charli XCX gig at the o2 with the ladies at Steve Madden. Then sleep. Loads and loads of sleep. Cleansing balms are by far one of our favourite products to take off our makeup. It's quick, easy but usually (and sadly) very expensive. One of our favourites, the Eve Lom balm, costs around £85 per pot, which is hardly practical unless you just so happen to be a millionaire. In that case, this article may not be for you. In terms of a budget-friendly, skin-friendly option, coconut oil is the way to go. It's all natural, incredibly cheap and (in our opinion) works just as well as any other form of cleansr. So, I got back from London yesterday, where I was for the River Island press trip. Lovely Nina from Oona PR Amsterdam invited Linda Tol, Annic van Wonderen (ILFN) and me to come with her. photo credit | jake armstrong THERE'S a new girl on the block, kinda. It's basically a new version of me in terms of photo editing and image quality - noticeable or no? (Please tell me it's noticeable..) Just like every other blogger/girl/person in the world, I'm planning my upcoming resolutions for the New Year. Don't expect me to quit any form of baked good or start any sort of exercise plan, no ma'am. Instead, I'm going to begin making an attempt at revamping this little corner of the internet I inhabit. Stage one: Look like Miranda Kerr in photos. Obviously failed that one. But at least the quality is better, right? What's your NY resolution this year?
